2011 Off-Job Training Courses

We will confirm the first off-job training dates with those enrolled in early March 2011 (in light of the recent events in Christchurch we are reviewing the status of Module 1A there). 

2012 Fees

The training fees for 2012 are:

  • Annual Training Administration Fee $305 (inc GST).  This fee is invoiced when a training agreement is signed and on the anniversary of the signing for each year of training.
  • Annual Training and Assessment Fee $615 (inc GST). This fee is typically invoiced at the time of the trainee’s off-job training course.

The total cost of training for a trainee in 2011 is $920.00 (inc GST). The fee is a contribution to the total cost of training including learning and assessment booklets, Training Advisor assessment visits, and NZQA assessment and certification costs. RMITO meets the balance of these training costs through government funding provided by the Tertiary Education Commission.

New Trainee Progress Reporting

RMITO is putting in place new training reports. In 2011 all trainees and their employers will receive quarterly reports showing the trainee’s progress against their training plan and the units they have achieved.

2010 Training Results

If you were in training in 2010 you will receive a report on your 2010 achievements before the end of January 2011.

2011 Module 1 Trainees

Year 1 trainees will receive their training materials for Module 1 before the end of January 2011. Any new trainees or trainees that have not yet completed their first off-job course will receive the Module 1 training materials in January. There are 9 topics covered in Module 1:

Every topic has a learning resources booklet and assessment activities.  Once a trainee has received their Module 1 folder their Training Advisor will make contact to arrange a visit and advise the date for their 2011 Module 1 off-job course. In 2011 the Module 1 off-job course will be 3 days only.

2011 Module 2 and 3 Trainees

We will contact each Year 2 and 3 trainee in February 2011 to confirm arrangements for their 2011 training advisor visits and off-job training arrangements.
