How to become a butcher?

How do I get started?

You can become an apprentice butcher by signing a training agreement with your employer. This agreement specifies the skills you will be taught and qualifications you will get. Most of the training is undertaken on the job alongside experienced and qualified people but is complemented through Learning Materials provided by the RMITO. In addition, apprentices attend block training courses off-job each year of their training to support their on-job learning.

The RMITO will also provide a Training Plan which provides you and your employer an outline of how the training and assessment in your first year of the apprenticeship will progress.
